Splendidly celebrated the 2nd Anniversary of RMG TIMES

Washim Mia, Staff Correspondent:  RMG Times, the most popular apparel news source of Bangladesh, celebrated its 2^nd Anniversary in a splendid way yesterday, 28 February 2018, at Sector 7 Restaurant & Party Center, Dhaka. The anniversary program became a visitant for all with the participation of over 300 senior professionals of RMG sector of the country.

The program presided over by the Editor of the RMG TIMES Mr. Abdul Alim, Legendary news presenter of Bangladesh Television (BTV) and CSR icon Mr. Mohiuddin Babar, The owner of Deltex GMBH (Germany), Mr. Marcel Herzbach, Mr. Riajul Haque Shopon, Director of Knittex Industries Ltd, Mr. Azad Ahmed Patwary, Executive Director of Knit Plus Limited, Mr. Firoj Alam, Additional Director of Walton and former Editor (Rising BD), Mr. Abdul Mottaleb, Managing Director of Global Sustainable certification Services (GSCS), Lutful Kabir, Senior Advisor, GIZ, Mr. Rasel Parves, Regional Head (Asia), Ms. Shaila Ashraf, Convener of the Institute of Compliance Professionals (ICP), Sumaya Rashid, Country Director of Social Responsibility Asia and a number of iconic faces attended to the distinguished guests.

The function was smoothly anchored by Mr. Alamgir Nahid, Staff Correspondent, RMG Times. 

Mr. Abdul Alim expressed in his address, “RMG Times is a name of my dream that started a few years back. It’s such kind of dream that aims at the RMG sector of Bangladesh with positive mindset. We are united to uncover the truth from the inside of your clothes, to express the story of every stich in it. We highlight the positives of the RMG sector to present a better Bangladesh to the world of competition. We are trying our best to be neutral and to be transparent as well”.

“RMG Times is not only a news source, but we provide different capacity building trainings also on time demanding topics to enhance the efficiencies of the compliance professionals across the country. It feels very proud to announce that we trained more than 1000 RMG professionals in the year 2017.” he added.

Mr. Babar overwhelmingly stated, “I am mesmerized to be here in RMG Times’ 2^nd anniversary. It is a great platform for everybody to know about the entire RMG sector of Bangladesh with just a single click. I want to thank RMG Times for their authenticity, for their courage to be a spokesman of this sector and to focus on the capacity building trainings to the RMG professionals. I wish them all the best in future”.

Later on, for the first time in Bangladesh “RMG TIMES BEST PRACTICE AWARD 2018” was announced and 8 top factories had been awarded with this award while 117, in total, factories sent their good practices running in their factories which are above the existing law of the country.

A special magazine naming “RMG Times 2^nd Anniversary Special Issue” was also un-wrapped by the special guests all along on the occasion.   

Then the event had been more captivated through the cutting of a large cake. The party center turned into a place of getting together for the RMG professionals.

All the speakers and guests greeted RMG Times with flowers and wishes for their completion of 2 successful years and wished for the years to come.
