Workers will pay Tk 4 for Tk 1000 pickup through mobile banking

Desk Report: While paying the wages through mobile banking to the workers of the exporting sector under the government announced incentive, the cash out charge will have to be reduced to Tk 8 instead of Tk 18 per Tk 1000 transaction. Bangladesh Bank (BB) has issued a circular in this regard today.

The circular also states that the concerned bank will pay Tk 4 from their commission and the workers will pay the rest-  Tk 4.

As a result, for the workers, service charge has been significantly reduced to draw salaries through mobile banking.

The government has announced an incentive of Tk 5000 crore earlier to pay the salaries and allowances of the workers.  These (salaries and allowances) have to be paid through mobile banking method has been inserted in the terms.

In case of cash out, the government has considered the issue of reducing the service charge.  Finally, Bangladesh Bank has decided to reduce it to Tk 8 from Tk 18.
