Corona Pandemic: GMS composite stands beside 2000 families

Staff Reporter: The world is shaken, so are the mass people due to Corona Pandemic. In fact, no one is getting rid of this Coronavirus if he/she is in the reach of it. Now, it is increasing its number through the RMG sector of Bangladesh as it employs more than 4 million of workers from all over the country. It’s a very tough time going on around. In this almost paused situation, many of us are coming forward and extending their hands to support the mass who need it the most.

The owner and the Managing Director of GMS Composite Knitting Ind. Ltd. Mr. Md. Golam Mostafa has also been included in this respectful list of front liners who distributed relief and face masks among the poor and helpless people in his home town Jhikargacha, Jessore. He distributed food items, daily needing commodities to 2000 families having 10 kg rice, 2 kg lentil, 2 kg onion, 2 kg oil & 1 soap for each. He also distributed 10,00,000 face masks to GMS workers and local helpless people.

GMS has also made another great worker friendly decision to treat the leave up to 14th April as paid leave.

The management has stated that they are not yet planning for laying off due to this pandemic. They will try their best to support the employees till the last moment. They have plan to stand beside the society to fight against this Covid-19 in bigger role if needed in future.
