Foundation to OHSAS 18001:2007 Training Held at Narayangonj

Fazlul Haque, Staff Correspondent : There is a one day foundation course on International Health and Safety standard OHSAS 18001:2007 Held at the Training centre of Modele De Capital Industries Limited located at the oldest industrial area of the country, Narayangonj.

The training has been facilitated by Sustainable Management System Bangladesh and hosted by Modele De Capital Industries Limited. Delegates from the different factories and the organizations like BCPA and Bangladesh Accord more than 50 delegates attended in the day long training course. It is notable that the cost of the training borne by Modele De Capital Industries Limited to encourage all the surrounding factories to know about health and safety and implement that for the betterment of the industry.

One of the most experience social compliance auditor and trainer of Bangladesh Mr. Abdul Alim has led the training for the full days. The Lead Trainer Mr. Alim said, this type of training is not very frequent in this area. He expressed gratitude to the management of the factories to allow them in this course after having their daily busy routine. He also expressed to his great pleasure to the Group Director of Model De Capital Mr. Kanai and AGM (Admin, HR & Compliance) Mr. Arup Kumar Saha for taking this nice initiative.

One the delegates and the General Manager (HR and Admin) of the factory thanked to the trainer for his technical and informative training. He added that the training was very much effective for them from where they learn a number of new things that they did not know earlier.

After the end of the training Mr. Alim had a small discussion with the Leaders of BCPA (Bangladesh Compliance Practitioners Association) to boost their activities for the better industrial working condition for the current and future generation. Mr. Alim committed to BCPA leaders to provide all the support in capacity building for their members.
