BSAHRP elects new executive committee

Staff Correspondent: A new Executive Committee was elected by the Bangladesh Society for Apparel HR Professionals (BSAHRP) on 10th December 2021. Following the annual general meeting of the organization, BSAHRP arranged an election which was opened for its all members to elect their favorite representatives for next two years (2021-2023) in a democratic manner.

In this ballot festival, Shahin Mahammad, Sr. GM at Masco Group, was elected as President, and Md. Abdul Bashar, General Manager at Pakiza Group, was elected as General Secretary. For not having opposed candidates, the rest of the members of the committee was elected without a voting contest. They are Abul Kalm, Vice-president; Kamrul Islam, Treasurer; Ismail Hossen; Abu Sayed Nazim; Abdul Karim Dhali; Ummay Afia Akhter; Sadia Afroz was selected as executive counselors.

Shahin Mahammad and Mahabobur Rahaman fought against one another from two different panels. The election commission informed that about 77 percent of voters cast their invaluable votes.

After securing victory, the newly elected president and General Secretary announced their respective commitments and responsibilities towards the members. Every voter and candidate praised the fair practices of this organization.

BSAHRP was established in 2015 and now it has more than 500 members. This is one of the effective organizations for HR, Admin, and Compliance professionals in the apparel sector of Bangladesh.
