Desk Report: Azim Group’s female workers, who dream to run their education and become University Graduates, will now have the opportunity to sit for admission tests to qualify for a place at the Asian University for Women (AUW). For this, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Azim Group and Asian University for Women (AUW) at Global Outerwear Ltd. in Savar, Dhaka today.
As part of the ‘Pathways for Promise Program’, for next five consecutive academic years, each year up to 5 workers may be selected from among Azim Group factory workers to attend AUW as students based on suitability.
Mr. Dr. Dave Dowland , Registrar and Chief Operating Officer-AUW with Mr. Suman Chatterjee, Director of Marketing & Student Recruitment-AUW and Mr. Md. Ali Akbar, General Manager- Azim Group with Mr. Muhammad Belal Hossain- Head of HR & Compliance-Azim Group signed the MoU on behalf of Asian University for Women and Azim Group respectively.
Mr. Md. Moinul Islam (AGM, Azim Group), Mr. Atahar Mia Babul (AGM, Azim Group) and Mr. Siraj Miah (Manager HR & Admin, Azim Group) were also present at the signing ceremony.
