Staff Correspondent: The Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) refers to a Programme that takes a holistic approach to tackle the issue of hazardous chemicals in the global textile, leather and footwear supply chain. Keeping that approach in mind a half day long ‘Workshop on ZDHC procedure’ was held at Istanbul Turkish Restaurant, Dhaka yesterday on 24th of October 2018.
The session was organized by the ZDHC Foundation in collaboration with TUV Rheinland in which 55 delegates from 40 garments manufacturers attended.
The session was conducted by Mr. Prasad Pant, South Asia Director, the ZDHC Foundation while Mohammad Syful Islam Khan, Managing Director, TUV Rheinland Bangladesh delivered the overview on TUV Rheinland.
Besides, Mr. Wakil Hossain, Manager- Sustainability service, TUV Rheinland Bangladesh supplied the explanations of technical aspects of the ZDHC procedure.
Later on the session ended with an open discussion.
