8 Factories won ‘RMG Times Best Practice Award-2018’

Washim Mia, Staff Correspondent: The most popular industry-specific news portal “RMG TIMES” celebrated its second anniversary today in Dhaka while 8 good factories been awarded for their best practices in the facility. About 300 senior professionals from RMG sector of Bangladesh attended during this event to celebrate RMG TIMES for their tremendous work during last 2 years.

The RMG times arranged a competition among the RMG factories with their best practices in three categories. The winners are Comfit Composite Knit Ltd (Environmental Impact), Northern Tosrifa Group (Environmental Impact), Echotex Ltd (Economic Impact), ACS Textile (Bangladesh) Ltd (Economic Impact), Snowtex Outerwear Ltd (Economic Impact), MAS Intimates Bangladesh Ltd (Social Impact), MG Niche Stitch Ltd (Social) and Knit Plus Limited (Social). 

Legendary news presenter of BTV and CSR icon Mr. Mohiuddin Babar, The owner of Deltex GMBH (Germany) Mr. Marcel Herzbach, Mr. Riajul Haque Shopon, Director of Knittex Industries Ltd, Mr. Azad Ahmed Patwary, Executive Director of Knit Plus Limited, Mr. Firoj Alam (Additional Director of Walton and former Editor (Rising BD) and a number of iconic faces attended as special guests while the program presided over by the Editor of the RMG TIMES Mr. Abdul Alim. The event was anchored by Mr. Alamagir Nahid, Staff Correspondent, the RMG Times. 

Mr. Abdul Alim conveyed his gratitude to all the guests for attending to this ceremony and committed to working for the positive Bangladesh. He mentioned during congratulating the winners that The objective of the “RMG TIMES BEST PRACTICE AWARD 2018” is to make a wakeup call to the policymakers of the country to recognize the good practice and utilize this information to create positive image towards RMG sector and in a large scale it is the branding of Bangladesh.     

The Event was sponsored by the two renowned audit and certification company Global Sustainable Certification Services (GSCS) Limited and USB Certification and Phulki, a non-profit organization working for disadvantaged communities.
