Day long workshop on ‘KPI Based Performance Management System’ held in Dhaka

Washim Mia, Staff Reporter: A day long training on ‘Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Based Performance Management System (PMS)’ held at Uttara, Dhaka yesterday. The workshop was jointly organized by RMG Times and SAVVY Consultancy & Training.

The training was conducted by Mr. Mostafa Kamal, CEO of SAVVY Consultancy & Training and one of the most famous KPI practitioners and specialists in the country while the Editor & Publisher of RMG Times, Mr. Abdul Alim was present as the special guest.

There were 24 delegates from different RMG factories, companies and institutions who participated in the session. All of them were very much satisfied with the way they have been trained.

While conducting Mr. Mostafa Kamal focused on the world of KPIs: challenges in performance measurement, value added by KPIs, concept map & governance; understanding KPIs: KPI terminology, lifecycle, SMART objectives & KPI lifecycle; KPI Typology: Leading vs lagging KPIs, Qualitative vs quantitative KPIs, Efficiency vs effectiveness KPIs; KPI Taxonomy: Interdisciplinary systemic worldview, KPI use case scenarios & KPI DNA map, KPI Selection: KPI selection for organizational scorecard & sources & techniques, KPI Alignment: KPI alignment approaches & KPI selection for corporate scorecard, KPI Documentation: KPI documentation form functions, design & process, Working with targets: Target setting process & challenges, negative behaviors & weights and indexes, Data Gathering: Data quality dimensions & reporting data sources, KPI activation tools & techniques, data custodians & collection methods, Data Visualization: Designing efficient templates, usability & Scorecard and dashboard design elaborately displaying  an eye-catching PowerPoint presentation.

Mr. Abul Alim said in his address, “We are very pleased launching our first joint venture with SAVVY and I want to thank Mr. Kamal for conducting this important session based on KPI. KPI is such a tool with which you all can measure the performance of your company in no time. I want to thank to all the delegates to respond for this training and surely this one is going to work for you”.

Then Mr. Alim handed over a certificate of appreciation on behalf of RMG Times to the trainer Mr. Mostafa Kamal. The workshop came to an end with the handing over the attendance certificates to every participant by both Mr. Kamal and Mr. Abdul Alim.
