“You Make Quality, Quality Will Make Your Life Better.” In line with this slogan, the 2-month-long Quality System Training Program 2025 was held at Texstream Fashion Ltd., a 100% export-oriented garment manufacturing company based in Ashulia, Savar, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

The program was initiated by Haji Monjurul Islam, General Manager of Texstream Fashion Ltd., to promote the excellence of Bangladeshi brands made in Bangladesh and to bring quality to a more sustainable level. To mark the successful completion, the management arranged a special event on 22 September 2025 at the company premises. During the event, final results were announced and awards were distributed.

High-ranking officials from other factories also attended the event.

This management system training program involved 60 participants from various departments, divided into 6 groups. The 2-month-long training was conducted in a competition format, completed through five written and practical tests.

The chief guest, Mr. Mominul Islam Bhuiyan (PPM), Superintendent of Police, praised the initiative, saying: “Such a competition is commendable. Through this, we can create skilled workers and strengthen the relationship between owners and workers.” He also encouraged every factory to organize similar programs.

Mr. Haji Monjurul Islam, General Manager of Texstream Fashion Ltd., highlighted the vision behind the initiative:

“The current quality system in Bangladesh’s garment sector, now over 40 years old, has not yet delivered the sustainable growth we expect. A key reason is our heavy reliance on large quality control teams, which increases costs and disrupts production. Instead, we aim to build a culture where quality is everyone’s responsibility—from managers and HR officers to helpers and operators. By embedding quality principles across all roles, we reduce dependence on fault-finding teams and improve efficiency.

We are upskilling employees to be multiskilled, ensuring they understand both their core functions and quality principles. Our goal is to reduce quality control teams from 60–70 people per thousand workers to just 30–40, while the production teams inherently own quality. This model draws inspiration from Japan, China, and Vietnam, where lean, integrated systems deliver superior quality.

Six months into implementation, our key performance indicators show fewer defects, higher efficiency, and consistent product quality with less manpower. Our long-term goal is to build a self-sustaining system where today’s trained employees pass on their knowledge to the next generation. This system can benefit not only the garment industry but also other sectors such as food, fashion, and manufacturing—helping Bangladesh remain competitive on the world stage.”

The program concluded with a closing speech from Mr. Haji Monjurul Islam, who wished everyone good health and continued success.
