Saturn Textiles Ltd. inaugurates fair price shop

Desk Report: Apon Wellbeing Ltd, winner of Tommy Hilfiger Fashion Frontier Challenge 2019, launched its 16th fair price outlet at Saturn Textiles Ltd, 100% export oriented RMG manufacturing company. After winning the Tommy Hilfiger Fashion Frontier Challenge 2019, PVH Bangladesh opened up its partner factories connection to avail this wellbeing initiative and the 2nd shop inaugurated at Saturn on 28 January 2021 as the second outlet under this initiative.

At the inauguration ceremony, Country Head and Sr. Director of PVH Bangladesh, Mr’ Najeeb Sayed, Managing Director of Saturn Textiles Ltd. Mr. Amanullah Chagla and the Managing Director of Apon Wellbeing Ltd. Mr. Saif Rashid with the other senior officials of the organizations were present.

Apon is operating fair price outlets in more than 15 different renowned factories and today, Apon stepped into Saturn as the 16th outlet. Industry sustainability and workers wellbeing is the core objective of the initiative of Apon, where workers receive up to 10% discount on every purchase, free health insurance, and free credit facility. From onwards, all the employees of Saturn will avail these benefits. So far, it has impacted more than 37k workers’ lives
directly from which more than 2.5k workers received health insurance worth up to 15k BDT/insurance holder. From the discount, health services, and credit facilities the total accumulated savings become $384k.
