SA8000 Alumni Get-Together and Iftar Program Held in Dhaka

Social Accountability International (SAI), a USA based not for profit standard setting organization, successfully hosted the SA8000 Alumni Get-Together and Iftar Program on 22 March 2025 at Dhaka Regency Hotel & Resort. The event brought together 130 Auditors and Lead Auditors of the SA8000:2014 standard who received SA8000 auditor training course in the past years, creating a vibrant platform for networking and professional exchange.

Mr. Abdul Alim, Lead Trainer and Country Representative of SAI, graced the occasion with his presence. In a special video message, Ms. Jane Huang, President & CEO of Social Accountability International (SAI), extended her warm greetings to all attendees on behalf of the organization.

The gathering served as a significant meeting point for compliance professionals representing brands, buying houses, audit firms, consulting organizations, NGOs/INGOs, and the Ready-Made Garments (RMG) industry.

A highlight of the evening was the celebration of Mr. Abdul Alim’s 10-year anniversary with SAI, recognizing his decade-long contribution to advancing social accountability and ethical business practices.

The event reinforced SAI’s commitment to fostering collaboration and strengthening the SA8000 community in Bangladesh.
