SA8000:2014 Introduction and Basic Auditor Training Course held in Dhaka

Matin Kabir, Staff Reporter: 5 days long training on “SA 8000:2014 Introduction and Basic Auditor Training Course” held in Dhaka. The training started on 21 January 2024 and ended with an online written examination on 25 January 2024.

The training was organized by USA based non-profit organization, the developer of the SA8000 standard, Social Accountability International (SAI).

Mr. Abdul Alim, Lead Trainer and Bangladesh representative of SAI conducted the training participated by 17 delegates from different garment industries, buying houses, factories, and third-party audit companies.

Mr. Abdul Alim said to the RMG Times, “The 5 days-long training on the standard of SA 8000: Introduction and Basic Auditor Training Course has become very popular worldwide. It is very important for the auditors to pass the training in order to visit compliance in different export-oriented garment industries and factories as well. Those who have a keen interest in working with compliance audit should take part in this course because it provides international recognition to them for being an auditor”.

SA8000:2014 Introduction and Basic Auditor Training Course provides an overall introduction to social auditing, specifically auditing in accordance with the SA8000:2014 Standard. The five-day course is a requirement for all SA8000 Team Auditors and has been attended by thousands of professionals around the world.
