Desk Report: A delegation of Electronics Safety and Security Association of Bangladesh – ESSAB led by its Vice President SM Shahjahan paid a courtesy call on President of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) at NFPA Conference 2022 held at Boston, USA. NFPA President Jim Pauley, Mike Brunzell, Vice President and other board of directors of NFPA warmly welcomed the delegation.
NFPA President Jim Pauley appreciates that after Rana Plaza & Tazreen Garments tragedy the RMG Sector of Bangladesh has developed significantly and now most of the factories are safe from Fire & Electrical hazards. The rate of incidents has drastically reduced because of proper implementation of codes and standards.
ESSAB Vice President SM Shahjahan said like other years ESSAB is working for the most efficient engineering and delivering the convenient solution to users. ESSAB is continuously showing its efforts for knowledge sharing, trainings and sustainable solution.
Immediate Past President of ESSAB Md. Motaher Hoshan Khan said that over last few years ESSAB has developed a wide network of certified engineers inside the country and now we are ready to facilitate NFPA in different aspects. He said; in collaboration with NFPA, ESSAB will run more educational programs, trainings and workshops in coming years.
ESSAB Secretary General M. Mahmudur Rashid said Bangladesh is growing very fast and now our people are more aware of fire & life safety. Now we are concentrating more on research & developments to ensure safe work place all over the country.
